Ashim Sharma has worked across consulting & industry. After finishing his B.Tech with Honours in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Hamirpur, Ashim started his career at Mahindra & Mahindra (Automotive Sector) based in Nashik, India where he worked with in the core team that launched the new Bolero in 2007. His areas of specialization were product development and dealership operational improvements.
Thereafter he went on to do his MBA in Manufacturing & Operations from SP Jain, Mumbai and joined Tata Strategic Management Group (TSMG) based out of Mumbai. While at TSMG, he was part of the team that was involved in the transformation of Jaguar Land Rover. In his consulting career, Ashim has worked with consultancies such as E&Y, Ricardo Strategic Consulting and Roland Berger. Most of his work has been for Automotive, Logistics and Engineering industry in areas of Overall Business Strategy, Logistics Network Optimisation, New Product Development, Technological Readiness, New Overseas Market Entry, India Entry, Cost Reduction, Growth Strategies and Organisational Restructuring.
Ashim is now Partner & Group Head of Business Performance Improvement Division at NRI (Nomura Research Institute) Consulting & Solutions focussing on the Automotive, Engineering & Logistics sector.
